2008 National Health Information Awards WinnerThe mission of the Pri-Med Patient Education Center is to provide patients with multimedia access to reliable medical information at and beyond the point of care.

The Pri-Med Patient Education Center is a service provided to medical group practices and their patients by Harvard Medical School, Physician’s Weekly, and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the nation's principal voice for medical group practice. The MGMA, founded in 1926, has 21,500 members who manage and lead 13,500 organizations in which approximately 270,000 physicians practice.

The editorial content of the Pri-Med Patient Education Center is created by Harvard Medical School faculty and is distributed in partnership with the MGMA.

The information provided by the Pri-Med Patient Education Center can be accessed online at www.patientedu.org. This Web site also contains regularly updated information on more than 500 medical topics, explaining symptoms, conditions, diseases, medications, and diagnostic procedures.
