When You See the Doctor For…Nasal Congestion
Your doctor may ask you these questions:
- When did the congestion begin?
- By “congestion,” do you mean your head feels stuffed up, that you are sneezing, that you are blowing stuff out your nose to get relief, or all of these?
- What color is the stuff you are blowing out your nose?
- Do you also have a sore throat, earache, pain in your cheeks or around your eyes, coughing, shortness of breath, or fever?
- Are you allergic to anything?
To learn more, see the “Nasal Allergies” and “Sinusitis” booklets.
