2009 National Health Information Award Winner

Pri-Med Patient Education Center (PM-PEC) was selected as a winner in the 16th Annual National Health Information Awards. This program recognizes the nation’s best consumer health information programs and materials.

• The PM-PEC brochure on “Irritable Bowel Syndrome” received a Bronze Award.
• The PM-PEC brochures on “STDs,” “Stroke,” and “Breast Cancer” each received a Merit Award.
• The September 2008 poster featuring “Memory Loss & Alzheimer’s Disease” received a Silver Award.
• The March 2008 poster on “Colorectal Cancer” received a Merit Award.
• The May 2008 poster on “Preventing Strokes” received a Merit Award.

PM-PEC is honored to be selected as a winner and to participate in the NHIA program. Our winning entries were chosen from more than 1000 entries judged by a national panel of health information experts.

The awards program is coordinated by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information program and materials. The Center promotes the distribution of accurate, timely consumer health information materials to professionals and managers in the field.
